Beautiful code-generated motion and interactive art in this video interleaved with a thought provoking interview dealing with the relationship between technical and creative skills in design today.
Some of the best advice I ever received was from an artist who mentored me as I was looking to go into illustration when he instructed me to learn all that I could about computers, since at the time traditional commercially illustration (ie. airbrush, painting, and drawing) were all being displaced by computer-made graphic arts. Similarly there is excellent encouragement here for anyone interested in conceptual or visual design to learn as much as possible about programming.
